DTC to ply maximum buses during festive season

NEW DELHI: With an aim to cater to the extra rush of passengers on the occasion of Diwali, Bhai Dooj, Goverdhan Puja and Chhath Puja, DTC today decided to ply maximum number buses from October 30 to November 6.

During festivals, movement of a large number of people to and from Delhi is expected, an Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) official said. 

During these days, all buses passing through or being operated from Old Delhi Railway Station, New Delhi Railway Station, Nizamuddin Railway Station, Anand Vihar, Kashmiri Gate and Sarai Kale Khan will be operated as per their schedule and no curtailment in operation will be allowed, the official said.
    
DTC will also ensure maximum operation of AC low-floor buses during these days from the railway stations and ISBTs.

The corporation has also issued helpline number - 011-23317600 - on which passengers can enquire about DTC bus routes and other facilities.
