The iconic blue color WagonR of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was stolen from his office on Thursday afternoon. The car was used by Arvind Kejriwal when he became CM for 49 days after that people termed it as ‘Aam Aadmi car’. Later, he gave this car to a supporter of Aam Aadmi Party Vandana Singh as officially it belongs to the party.

Vandana who went to the CM office for some work had parked it outside the Delhi secretariat around 12 pm. “I got to know about the theft when I came out from Delhi secretariat and searched for my car around 2pm. When i didn’t see the car, I went back and told this to a security officer who tried to identify the accused with the help of CCTVs,” Vandana Singh, AAP worker told The New Indian Express. “ One footage shows that someone is driving my car but the footage is not very clear. Later, I made a PCR call around 3:51 pm and went to the police station,” Singh added. Vandana said that she was using the iconic car since last almost two years but earlier Delhi CM Arvind Kerjwal used to travel in the car.

“The car was used by Arvind Kejriwal when he was the chief minister for 49 days. Later, he gave this car to the party as it officially belongs to the party,” Singh said.

On the other side, cops are claiming to crack the case soon. “The car was being used by media cell in charge of AAP Vandana. We have registered a case against unknown person and soon the accused will be arrested. We are also analyzing CCTV footage of nearby areas,” DCP central Mandeep Singh Randhawa said. The car was seen as proof of Kejriwal's 'aam aadmi' image as he initially refused to take government vehicle and used to travel in the stolen Blue color WagonR car for official purposes as well as personal purposes.

While he was on a dharna outside Rail Bhavan in chilling cold, he sought temporary refuge in the car.
