NEW DELHI: Delhi Police has busted an international drug syndicate with the arrest of four persons, including two African nationals, and recovered cocaine and MDMA valued at around Rs 1.1 crore, officials said.

The accused have been identified as Mohammad Hasan (23), a resident of Shastri Nagar; Razia, a resident of Mandawali; Diouf Solomon alias Oskar, a native of Senegal; and Bemah, a native of Liberia. The arrested individuals include a drug peddler, a carrier, and two suppliers, the officials added.

DCP (East) Rajeev Kumar said, “On March 25, we received a tip-off that Hasan, who was involved in selling the psychotropic substance MDMA, would come near Chitra Vihar Jhuggi red light in Preet Vihar to supply the drug.” A trap was laid and Hasan was apprehended.

During interrogation, Hasan disclosed that he procured MDMA from his source, identified as Oskar, who used to deliver consignments at random locations along Outer Ring Road near the Sriniwaspuri area, the DCP said.

Subsequently, on the intervening night of March 27 and 28, police laid a trap near a subway on Outer Ring Road in Sriniwaspuri and arrested Oskar. A raid was conducted at his residence, where his associate Bemah was also apprehended.

Hasan further revealed that he supplied the drugs to Razia. Acting on this information, police conducted a raid in Mandawali on Sunday and arrested her, Kumar said.

“Hasan disclosed that he initially consumed MDMA and came in contact with Oskar in the Ashram area. He first purchased 0.5 gram MDMA pouches for Rs 1,500. Later, he began procuring the drug in bulk from Oskar and supplied it to Razia, who sold each pouch for Rs 2,200,” the officer added.

Police recovered 120.18 grams of cocaine and 36.86 grams of MDMA, collectively valued at Rs 1.1 crore.
