KOCHI: ‘Maduramee Jeevitham’, a drama by Pala Communications, bagged the first place and A-Grade for presentation at the All-Kerala Professional Drama Competition organised by the Media Commission of the Kerala Catholic Bishops Council (KCBC). ‘Amma Valsalyam,’ by Ochira Natakarangam, won the second place for presentation.   Ivide Asokanum Jeevichirunnu, presented by Sahithi Theatres and written by Cherunniyoor Jayaprasad, won the prize for the best playwright.

Predeep Roy, of Amala Theatres, Kanjirapally, emerged the best director, while Alleppey Vivekanandan won the prize for the best music director.

C S Venu (Ivide Asokanum Jeevichirunnu) is the best actor, and Anitha C Manikandan won the award for the best female actor.

Athirunkal Subhash (Panchanakshatra Swapnam), of Kollam Asissia Arts, was adjudged the best supporting actor, and Valsa Ravi (Bhoomiyile Nakshatrangal) the best female supporting actor. The awards will  be distributed at a function to be held at POC Auditorium on October 14.
