MYSORE: "Power Star" Puneeth Rajkumar had to face a tough time as his fans formed a sea of humanity around him during his visit to Mysore to inaugurate "Sylcom", a footwear showroom, at Devaraj Urs Road on Thursday.
As news spread about the filmstar's visit, fans gathered in huge numbers. College students tried to catch a glimpse of their favourite celluloid star, forcing the police had to resort to a mild lathicharge to control the crowd.
Amrutha, a college student, started crying inconsolably as she was unable to meet her star. Puneeth, however, talked to her and consoled. Youths vied with one another to get his autograph.
The power star visited Shanthala theatre, where his latest movie Jackie is being screened.
