BANGALORE: Former chief minister B S Yeddyurappa will perform special pooja at the renowned Kashi Vishwanatha temple in Varanasi on the occasion of Shivarathri.

According to family sources, Yeddyurappa will leave Bangalore for Varanasi on Sunday and will take part in the pooja at the temple along with a few MLAs and members of his family.

“There is nothing special about this. Having the darshan of Lord Shiva in Kashi, that too on Shivarathri day, is something very holy. That’s all,” a family member confided to Express.

Yeddyurappa is expected to return on Tuesday.
