In 10 Days, 3 Infants Abandoned

GULBARGA: Three infants were found abandoned in different parts of Gulbarga district in the past 10 days and were admitted to an orphanage, official sources said here on Wednesday.

The sources said a one-day-old infant was found at Garib Nawaz Colony Azadpur Road Gulbarga on August 19.

On August 24, a 10-month-old baby girl was found on the road between Mugulnagaon village and Teri Thanda of Chittapur taluk.

On the same day, a two- month-old baby boy was found on the platform of Station Ganagapur of Afzalpur taluk.

All the babies are healthy and were admitted to Amulya Shishugraha run by the Women and Child Welfare Department. Parents who have lost their infants may contact the authorities concerned, said sources.
