Health Commissioner Accusesd of Harassment

DHARWAD: The Fair Price Shopkeepers Association has lashed out at the working style of the commissioner of Health Department.

At a meeting here on Sunday, Association president T Krishnappa alleged that ration shopkeepers across the state are being  harassed by the commissioner and urged the government to look into the matter.

He warned of launching a state-wide agitation if the government fails to respond to their problems.

Krishnappa urged the government to change the present commission payment system to fair shop owners to support the money system. Mohan Ramdurg, shopkeeper, said fair shop owners should be paid support money equivalent to fourth grade employees of the government to enable them live a decent life.
