27 Complaints Over Grabbing Wadiyar Land

MYSURU: Upa Lokayukta Justice Subhash B Adi recently disclosed that the anti-corruption agency has received 27 complaints, including four from Pramoda Devi Wadiyar of Mysuru royal family about land grabbing on the foothills of the Chamundi Hills.

After meeting the revenue authorities on the issue, he   told reporters that preliminary investigations have begun. DC C Shikha, Mysore City Corporation Commissioner C G Betsurmath, Mysore Urban Development Authority Commissioner Palaiah and other district officials were present at the meeting held at the Government Guest House.

Justice Adi said the revenue authorities will verify the records of Survey No 4 belonging to the royal family. FIRs will be filed against the accused once the preliminary inquiry concludes, and an inquiry would be initiated into the role of officials in selling Wadiyar’s property. The tainted will be held responsible if found guilty, he said.
