BENGALURU: Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) has given a clean chit to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s son Yathindra in a corruption and nepotism case.S Bhaskaran, an RTI activist had filed a complaint with ACB last year in May where he had claimed that Siddaramaiah helped Matrix Imaging Solutions India Private Limited to get contracts illegally. The CM’s son Dr Yathindra Siddaramaiah is one of the directors of the company. Bhaskaran had alleged that Siddaramaiah helped his son get the tender in 2015.

The activist claimed the company was awarded a contract of diagnostic services under the Prime Minister Swasthya Suraksha Yojana illegally. ACB, in their reply to the RTI activist said, “During the investigation, we found that the allegations were false, so the complaint has been disposed.”
In the complaint, S Bhas karan had said that six other companies which participated in the pre-tender discussions backed out in the final tender process, so he questioned whether the tender process was transparent and as per the rules.

The complaint was filed after Dr Yathindra had announced his resignation from the company. Aam Admi Party has also filed a complaint with Lokayukta on the same issue.
The contract that was awarded to the company in 2015 was from the CT and MRI lab at the Victoria Hospital, attached to the Bangalore Medical College and Research Institute and the lab is about to start functioning.

A complaint has also been filed with the Income Tax Department in May 2017 against Yathindra under Benami Propery Transaction Act, 1988, where it’s alleged that he along with Matrix Imaging Solutions had carried out benami transactions in the name of the company’s directors Rajesh Gowda and Thejaswini.
