HUBBALLI: Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has hit back at Prime Minister Narendra Modi accusing the latter of lacking understanding of the Constitution.
The statement came in response to PM’s speech where he had refused to give a “single penny to those opposing the development.”
The Chief Minister tweeted,
Speaking to reporters in Dharwad, Siddaramaiah said, “Where the Centre got its money from? It’s from states only - through various kinds of tax.”
He said that the PM should understand that the country runs under a federal structure and the Centre cannot take a decision based on its whims.
Reacting sharply to BJP state president B S Yeddyurappa’s allegation over Coal Scam, Siddaramaiah stated that those were frivolous charges and the BJP was making baseless allegations.
