Three killed, two hospitalised after chemical leak at Karnataka pharma unit

YADGIR\KALABURGI: Three workers died and two others fell ill from suffocation after a chemical leak at a pharmaceutical unit in Karnataka’s Yadgir district on Wednesday. The incident occurred at C.I.L. Laboratory Private Limited in the Kadechur-Badiyal industrial area.

The deceased have been identified as Katla Ganesh from Telangana, Vikram Singh and Sanjay Singh from Madhya Pradesh. Manchal Hemanth and Manchal Shivakumar from Andhra Pradesh fell ill due to suffocation and are undergoing treatment at Raichur Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS). The incident occurred under the jurisdiction of the Saidapura police station.
