GURUVAYUR: India should create better opportunities for the new generation scientists in the field of science, technology and space research, said ISRO chairman G Madhavan Nair here on Wednesday.

The ancient knowledge imparted through the Vedas and Upanishads were not properly used to develop better scientific technology owing to many reasons, mainly the invasion of the Mughal and British empires. The long-term vision of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru in establishing space research and related organisations has now resulted in the successful completion of Chandrayaan, Madhavan Nair said.

The Indian scientists and Indian technology are not only par with international standards but at greater levels.

A country with a huge human resource can achieve goals in the fields of science and technology.
