KOCHI:  The Kerala High Court on Wednesday dismissed a petition filed by Sabarinath, the first accused in the Total 4U fraud case, praying it to direct the Crime Branch to register his arrest in all the cases registered against him.

The petition was dismissed by Justice M Sasidharan Nambiar.

There are 34 cases against Sabarinath.

However, the Crime Branch has not produced him before the court in eight cases. He alleged that whenever he obtained bail the CB CID DySP sought arrest for another case, which has resulted in a year-long imprisonment.

He also submitted that he had been remanded since September 1, 2008.

The prosecution submitted before the court that in all the cases, the accused was arrested only when an arrest was required.

The prosecution also submitted that a final report of the cases against Sabarinath was being prepared and would be submitted before the court.
