THIRUVANATHAPURAM: The UDF, which made an impressive performance in the recently-held local body elections, has decided to capitalise the opportunity and kick off the election campaign for the next Assembly elections. Opposition Leader Oommen Chandy will embark on a 'Kerala Yatra' from Manjeswaram to Thiruvananthapuram to highlight the failures of the LDF Government. As part of the yatra, a signature campaign will also be launched against the LDF Government, which would be submitted to Governor R S Gavai at the culmination of the yatra.

This was decided at the UDF meeting held here on Tuesday. Along with Chandy, other UDF leaders will participate in the yatra. Congress urged Kerala Congress(M) leader K M Mani to reconsider the decision of his party to organise a similar yatra, which has already been announced ?
