PALAKKAD: The O M C Narayanan Namboodiripad Memorial Deviprasadam Trust has announced its awards for 2010 in various disciplines.
K G Poulose has been selected for the award for Sanskrit, Attur Ravi Varma for Malayalam literature, Kalamandalam Kuttanasan for kathakali, and Mekkat Vasudevan Namboodiri for Veda. The awards will be given away at a function to be held at the Ollappamanna Mana at Vellinezhi at 4 p.m on February 26. The function will be inaugurated by Prabha Varma. The awards were announced by Deviprasadam Trust chairman O N Damodaran Namboodiripad and Trust members O M Hari and O M Ravi at a press conference here on Saturday.
