ALAPPUZHA: The first Malliyoor award instituted by Akhila Bharatha Bhagavatha Sathra Samiti was presented to Aswathi Thirunal Gowri Lakshmi Bhai by Sringeri Sri Sharada Peetham Acharya Sankaracharya Bharati Teertha Swami at a function organised as part of the Bhagavatha Sathram, Thuravoor, near here the other day.
KPCC president Ramesh Chennithala inaugurated a meeting held in this connection.
Sathram reception committee chairman and thantri of Guruvayur Sree Krishna Temple Chennas Dinesan Namboothiri presided over the function. BJP state secretary A N Radhakrishnan, reception committee office-bearers Thuravoor Viswambharan, M K Kuttappa Menon and T G Padmanabhan Nair spoke.
