Ganesh Kumar files police complaint against his wife

As stage has been set for continued washing of dirty linen in public, ex-Forest-Cinema-Sports Minister Ganesh Kumar filed a petition based on domestic violence with the Museum police station here on Monday.

The Minister’s charge is that he was attacked by his wife  Yamini Thankachiwith a sharp weapon on February 22, 2013.

Not to be outwitted by the damning disclosures of his estranged wife against him, K B Ganesh Kumar had filed the complaint much ahead of Yamini Thankachi’s moves.

She had proceeded against Ganesh Kumar by going to the media and submitting a written complaint to Chief Minister Oommen Chandy, followed by another in the Museum police station here on Monday night.

Her complaint underscores the allegations against her husband, on the basis of the provisions of the Domestic Violence Act.

Yamini spewed her ire against Ganesh Kumar after the latter released a few photographs depicting injuries in the attack, which he had alleged was inflicted by none other than his wife.  The snaps were presented by Ganesh while moving a divorce petition in the family court here, and simultaneously releasing it to the media.
