The Crime Branch team probing the complaints filed by former minister K B Ganesh Kumar and his estranged wife Yamini Thankachi against each other, started its investigation on Wednesday.

Superintendent of Police, Crime Branch, Kollam, Uma Behera, who is probing the complaint of Yamini Thankachi, quizzed the latter at her residence at Vazhuthacaud here. The questioning lasted for almost two  hours.  Uma Behera came to Yamini’s house by around 3 p.m after having discussions with Additional Director-General of Police, Crime Branch, Vinson M Paul. The SP will take a detailed statement from Yamini on Thursday.

DETAILS SOUGHT

Meanwhile, National Women’s Commission has sought the details of the complaint of Yamini. Commission chairperson Mamta Sharma had sent a letter to the State Women’s Commission regarding this issue.

She also asked the commission member Nirmal Sawant to provide her with greater details about Yamini’s complaint.
