Coming down heavily on the ruling alliance, Kerala Congress (Jacob) chairman Johny Nellore on Tuesday said it would boycott UDF meetings, if its demands are not given due consideration. At a press conference, Johny said demands of KC (Jacob) were being ignored by the UDF and the state government. He urged the UDF leadership to take urgent steps to solve the issues.

“Even though the government decided to formulate 12 new taluks, our long-pending demand of Piravom taluk is still on paper. The party had sent a complaint in this regard to UDF convener P P Thankachan. However, the complaint was not considered. The Jacob faction was totally ignored in PSC and varsity appointments also,” he said. “Internal issues within Congress tarnished the image of the UDF Govt. The government has been ailing from unending controversies,” he said. “Minor parties in UDF have not been given proper consideration. Bilateral discussions should be called to solve issues raised by minor parties,” he said.
