Merger Talks: RSP(B) Appoints Shibu

The RSP (B) state committee meeting which was held here on Tuesday appointed Shibu Baby John to hold talks with RSP leadership for finalising the merger between the two parties. The committee welcomed the decision for merger with the RSP and decided to celebrate May 1 jointly. The committee said that the merger will become a reality by the end of May.

 The RSP state committee meeting that was held here on Monday to chalk out plans for the merger with the RSP(B) had appointed a three-member committee to work out a formula for the merger.

The three-member panel consisting of V P Ramakrishna Pillai, N K Premachandran and A A Azeez will now hold talks with Shibu Baby John. RSP, which had severed its ties with the LDF after it was denied the Kollam seat in Lok Sabha polls, will also decide about its support at the national level after the election results on May 16.
