Woman Found Hanging

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A 47-year-old woman was found hanging in her residence near Mangalapuram on Thursday noon. The deceased has been identified as Baby of Aswathy Bhavan, Velur near Mangalapuram.

 According to the police, the suicide is suspected to be the result of the refusal of her relative and another person to pay back Rs 8 lakh which they had borrowed from her. A suicide note was found.

“She had lend money to them though their names were not mentioned in the note. They had refused to repay the money and  had threatened that a case would be filed against her as part of ‘Operation Kuber.’  This incident had forced her to commit suicide,’’ the police said.
