KAKKANAD: ‘Ma - zhameghangalil Patharathe’ , a cleaning campaign prior to the monsoon, was launched on the Collectorate campus on Monday. The district-level inauguration of the programme was done by district panchayat Health Education Standing Committee chairman K K Soman. DMO Haseena Mohammed, Deputy Collector M Latha, Total Sanitation Coordinator P K Alexander, additional DMO K Sunitha and medical officer Vinod Paulose were also present at the function. NREGS workers, nurses of the Lourdes Hospital and other department officials also participated in the drive.
The programme has also been launched in 19 other health blocks in the district.
