Keyboard Player Kannan Found Dead

ALAPPUZHA: Music keyboard player Sooraj (Kannan, 44) was found dead at his composing studio at Kanjikuzhi near here on Monday. He is the son of music composer Kalavoor Balan.

Mararikulam CI K G Anish said that the body was found by his driver Vipin on Monday morning.

Kannan had been undergoing treatment for blood cancer for more than 10 years,  police said. The postmortem report said that internal bleeding was the cause of death, they said. The body was handed over to relatives after postmortem.

Kannan, a famous keyboard player, has worked with music composers M K Arjunan, Johnson,  M Jayachandran, M G Radhakrishnan, Mohan Sithara, Raveendran and many more.

He also played the keyboard for music reality shows at several television channels.
