Award for Writer Susmesh Chandroth

Writer Susmesh Chandroth has been selected for the literary prize instituted in the name of Nooranadu Haneef for the year.

KOLLAM:  Writer Susmesh Chandroth has been selected for the literary prize instituted in the name of Nooranadu Haneef for the year. His work ‘Paper Lodge’ was selected for the award by the jury consisting of George Onakkur, MGK Nair, Chavara K S Pillai.

The award, which consists of a cash prize of `12,221 and citation, is given for writers under the age of 45. The award will be presented to Sushmesh on the 9th death anniversary of Haneef at 11 am, Kollam Public Library hall.

Mayor Honey Benjamin, B A Rajakrishnan, G Anilkumar and R Vipin Chandran will participate. Previously P M Devadas (2011), E Santhosh Kumar (2012), K R Meera (2013)and Benyamin (2014) received the award.
