MG Varsity BA Results out; 72.47 Percentage Pass

Out of the 7,836 students appeared for the examination, 5,679 sailed through with a pass percentage of 72.47, yet down by 2.53 per cent compared to previous year.

KOTTAYAM: Mahatma Gandhi University on Friday announced the results of its BA Model one, two and three of sixth semester examination under CBCSS, twelve days ahead compared to previous year’s date of publication. The results are available on www.mgu.ac.in.

Out of the 7,836 students appeared for the examination, 5,679 sailed through with a pass percentage of 72.47, yet down by 2.53 per cent compared to previous year.

Three students of BA Economics Model One -- Christy Mariya Paul and Anjana K V of St Terasa’s College, Ernakulam, and Renuka S of SH Thevara; and another student of BA English Model One, Sara Zacharia of CMS College, Kottayam, secured A Plus.

  As many as 163 students scored A Grade while 916 secured B Plus, 1,756 B, and 1,957 C Plus grades. Eight colleges which recorded centum in different subjects are: NSS College, Changanacherry ( English and Hindi Model One), Government College, Kattapana (Economics), Assumption College Changanacherry (English Model Three), BCM College, Kottayam (English Model One), St. Terasa’s Ernakulam (French), De Paul Institute Angamaly (Multi Media), RLV College, Thripunithura (Maddalam), and Arafa College (English Model One ).  

Vice-Chancellor Dr Babu Sebastian gave credit to teachers and the university staff members for the early publication of the results. Last date for submission of application for revaluation and scrutiny is June 27. Application forms can be downloaded from the university website, Controller of Examination, Dr Thomas John Mampra, said.
