Mother, Son Died on the Spot After Colliding with a Truck

In yet another fatal road accident, a mother and son died on the spot after colliding with a truck, in Thalassery on Tuesday morning.

KANNUR:  In yet another fatal road accident, a mother and son died on the spot after colliding with a truck, in Thalassery on Tuesday morning.

The accidents took place when the victim, a  45 years old K Sindhu and her son R Vishnu Kumar (24), residing in Chirakka near Puthiyatheru were returning back by their scorpio car from Guruvayoor after a pilgrimage trip.  They have gone to the trip on Saturday.

Both died on the spot while their relative C Baburaj, 45, who was on the wheel has been admitted to the Pariyaram medical college in critical condition.  SinduÂ’s husband K P Rathnakumar is working abroad and Vishnu , who completed his engineering degree. He was planning to work in abroad. His another brother Nandu is a student

The truck, MH 09 C A 4442  has been carrying pipes from Gujarat was heading to Kozhikode, when the the car  K L 16 D 7028 in which the victim was travelling collided with the truck at 2am. In the accident, the car was totally damaged and they had to be taken out to brought out from it by cutting out by the fire force personnel..

The body will be cremated only on the return of Rathnakumar.
