Poetry Installation from Tuesday

KOCHI:The first poetry installation of the country will be held at the Durbar Hall from June 23 to June 27.  

The installation is a world of art produced by combination of two poems, and their sound and sculpture forms.

‘Sabda Mahasamudram’, a poem by S Kalesh, and ‘Deseeya Mrigam’, a poem by Ajeesh Dasan, are the poems that will be turned into the installation, by visualising the scope of sound, music and sculpture of the poetry.   

The exhibition will be arranged in such a format that both the sculpture form and the  the word of voice in the poems could be enjoyed while listening to them. The Voice of the poets will be used.  The sound mixing has been done by Bollywood sound designer Ranganath Ravee, while the art direction has been done by Gabriel George.

  P Raveendranath is the project coordinator. The installation is done by mediaperson and director Vinod Krishna, who has also developed the concept.Dancer Mallika Sarabhai will inaugurate the the expo at 4:00 pm on June 23.  M A Baby MLA will preside over the function, which will be attended by Dy Mayor B Bhadra, music director Bijibal and Lalithakala Akademy secretary Vaikom M K Shibu.   From June 24 onwards, the expo will be open from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm.
