St Clare Kids Fare Well at Special School Fest

TIRUVALLA:As the Kerala state special school festival for differently-abled students drew to a close here on Sunday, students of St Clare School, Manickamangalam, Ernakulam, and Assisi Mount school, Neerpara, Kottayam shared the overall championship with 100 points each in the deaf category.

St Rosollo’s School for Deaf, Sulthan Bathery, Wayanad bagged the second prize with 98 points. Mar Thoma School, Cherkala, Kasargod was third with 96 points.

Students of Mankara Government school from Malappuram won 78 points to grab the top spot in the blind category. Kozhikode HSS bagged the second prize with 76 points while Cotton Hill School, Thiruvananthapuram came third with 66 points in the category.

Ernakulam, Kottayam and Thrissur districts shared the first prize in the mentally-challenged category. Kannur and Pathanamthitta districts came second and third respectively in the section.

Mathew T Thomas MLA and K Sivadasan Nair MLA distributed trophies at the valedictory function.
