KOZHIKODE: Veteran CPM leader V S Achuthanandan on Saturday denied the news report which quoted him saying people wanted him to become the Chief Minister. He was reacting to a news report published by a leading national daily quoting him the same. Speaking to media persons at the Government guest house here,
Achuthanandan said “I have only told the party leadership and LDF will decide on who should become the Chief Minister. If anything opposite to this was quoted, it is utter foolishness. Words were put into my mouth and my statement was misquoted”.
According to the report published by the newspaper, when he was asked what his role will be after the elections, VS said “people want me to become the Chief Minister".
