12 districts get new Collectors

S Harikishore will be the new Director of 'Kudumbashree' the women self-help group formed under poverty alleviation schemes.

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Effecting a major reshuffle in the top bureaucracy, the Cabinet on Wednesday appointed 12 new District Collectors. Most of the Collectors who have completed two years in their present posting were replaced. The District Collectors of Kozhikode and Palakkad were not shifted. In addition, a number of senior officials were given new appointments. 

Current Thiruvananthapuram Collector Biju Prabhakar has been appointed as Agriculture Director in place of Ashok Kumar Thekkan, who was removed from the post following a Vigilance probe. S Harikishore, Pathanamthitta Collector, has been posted as Kudumbashree Executive Director.

Present Ernakulam Collector M G Rajamanickam has been appointed managing director of Kerala Financial Corporation. He will also hold charge of Excise Additional Commissioner. V Ratheesan has been made Panchayat Director. He will also hold charge of MNREGS Mission Director.

Kesavendra Kumar, Wayanad Collector, has been made Director of National Health Mission. He will also hold charge of Food Safety Commissioner and Social Justice Director. P Balakiran has been appointed as Director, IT Mission. E Devadasan will be the new Survey and Land Records Director. He will also hold charge of Registration IG.
