A 24-year-old person was arrested by Nedumbassery Police for allegedly duping several persons after  promising them jobs in national carrier Air India.

KOCHI: A 24-year-old person was arrested by Nedumbassery Police for allegedly duping several persons after  promising them jobs in national carrier Air India.

Claiming to be a senior AI staffer, Arun, who hails from Poovar in Thiruvananthapuram, allegedly interviewed aspirants for the post of customer service agents at a hotel near the Nedumbassery Airport between October and December this year after collecting `3.80 lakh from them.

Preliminary investigation found that the accused had donned the AI uniform while conducting the interviews and collected the money through his bank account. He had also forged the trademark, letter pads and offer letters in the national carrier’s name and used them for communicating with the candidates.
