PM to Reach Kozhikode Today

KOZHIKODE: The city is all geared up to welcome Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who will land at Vikram Maidan in a special helicopter around 12.05 pm on Tuesday and proceed to the venue of Global Ayurveda Festival (GAF) at Swapnanagiri where he will inaugurate the ‘Vision Conclave’. Elaborate security arrangements along with traffic regulations have been put in place on account of the visit of Modi to the city.

The city police on Monday conducted a detailed rehearsal to organise the movement of the cavalcade carrying the Prime Minister. Special teams of the State Police and the Special Protection Group (SPG) have already imposed tight security arrangements. According to police officers, surveillance had been strengthened in the city and mufti police had been deployed to keep track of the movement of the people.  

After attending the function, the Prime Minister will leave the venue by 12.55 and reach Vikram Maidan at 12.55 pm. He will leave for Karipur airport by 1.10 pm from where special aircraft will take him to New Delhi.
