Film Fraternity Pays Tribute to Director Rajesh Pillai

KOCHI: Actors Mammootty, Asif Ali, Madhupal and Amala Paul, directors Sibi Malayil, Jude Anthony and Renji Panicker and producer Anto Joseph were among a number of film personalities who visited PVS Hospital here upon hearing the demise of director Rajesh Pillai.

The body, which has been shifted to the mortuary of Lisie Hospital, was scheduled to be brought to Pillai's residence at Menaka Junction on Sunday morning. The cremation will be held at 10.30 am at the Ravipuram crematorium.

There had been reports since Friday that Pillai’s health had deteriorated, with some versions even declaring him dead much before the hospital authorities confirmed it.
