KOCHI: A woman was found stabbed to death at the Cherai beach, a popular tourist spot about 25 km from here, on Friday morning.

A native of Varappuzha, near Cherai, Seethal was found on the beach with deep wounds by local residents. She succumbed to her injuries after being rushed to a nearby hospital, police said.

A police officer said the information will be revealed with time.

"At present, we are not in a position to reveal the involvement of any person. An investigation has begun. We can divulge details only after getting all the information. We hope by evening we will get a complete picture of the incident," said a police officer from Munambam station, which monitors Cherai.
