Satheesh Babu selected for Malayattoor award

The 12th Malayattoor award constituted by Malayattoor Smaraka Samithi will be given to writer, novelist and mediaperson Satheesh Babu Payyannur for his story collections ‘Khamarunnisayude Koottukari’.

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The 12th Malayattoor award constituted by Malayattoor Smaraka Samithi will be given to writer, novelist and mediaperson Satheesh Babu Payyannur for his story collections ‘Khamarunnisayude Koottukari’.

A jury comprising Perumbadavam Sreedharan, K Jayakumar and Sreemathi selected the winner. The award comprises a cash prize of `15,000, statuette and a citation.

Arya Gopi was selected for the Malayattoor prize constituted for new writers for his collection of short stories titled ‘Pakalanival’. The awards will be distributed at the end of December in Thiruvananthapuram.
