Cabinet approves work under TransGrid

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Cabinet on Thursday gave the go-ahead signal for two major works under the Rs10,000 crore TransGrid-2.0 power transmission project. The Eranad lines package will cost Rs 433 crore and the north-zone high-tension low-sag package (HTLS) project will cost Rs 63 crore, the government said. 

TransGrid-2.0, the biggest transmission project undertaken by the Kerala State Electricity Board (KSEB), is aimed at strengthening the internal power transmission network of the state. The Cabinet decided to complete all works under TransGrid by March 2021.
