KOCHI: The police probing the alleged sexual abuse of a nun by Jalandhar bishop Franco Mulakkal recorded the statement of Cardinal George Alenchery, head of the Syro-Malabar Church, at the headquarters of the Church at St Thomas Mount, Kakkanad, on Wednesday.
According to DSP K Subash, the Cardinal was cooperative during the interrogation. “The Cardinal informed us the nun had informed him about issues at her convent,” said Subash.
He, however, denied getting any complaint concerning sexual abuse,” he said.
