THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Leader of opposition Ramesh Chennithala has said that the issue raised by the young actors through resignation is serious and that Association of Malayalam Movie Artistes (AMMA) should discuss it. It is not good to go ahead with unilateral decisions without discussing the matter and the top stars who are in the forefront of AMMA should consider the opinion of the society and take a decision, he said in a release.
In any workplace, Women must be able to work with pride and decency, Chennithala said. Two left MLA’s and an MP who are in AMMA should open up as to what their stand is in this matter. He said that while the left MLA’s are taking a sympathetic attitude in this matter, the people’s representatives in AMMA taking an opposite position is duality.
He also said that the people’s representatives in AMMA has a responsibility to settle the matter in a democratic manner.
