NABARANGPUR: The Congress has regained the lost glory by winning Nabarangpur Lok Sabha seat. The National Youth Congress secretary, Pradeep Majhi, won the seat by defeating Dambrudhar Majhi of BJD by 29,437 votes. The two time MP of BJP, Parsuram Majhi, was pushed to the third position. Congress had retained Nabarangpur seat from 1957 to 1999 elections. In 1999, the BJP in alliance with BJD snatched it from Congress.
