Bhagwat Katha a big draw

The Samuh Srimad Bhagwat Katha Gyana Jagyan Saptah, organised by Shree Gujarati Samaj, Cuttack, here has drawn participation of hundreds of members of the community not only from the State but also West Bengal, Jharkhand, Chhattishgarh, Andhra Pradesh and Gujarat.  The ceremony, which concludes on Tuesday, has in fact, notched a first by organising as many as 51 Pothi Yagyan to enable maximum number of people to participate in the rituals, praying for Moksha of their ancestors.

The  week was inaugurated by Maharaj Umesh Bhai Jani of Bhilai following a Pothi Kalash Yatra on December 5. More than 500 people from across the country participated everyday, Gujarati Samaj chairman Deepakbhai S Rathod said.
