CBI searches James Ray’s house

CBI officials on Tuesday searched the house of James Kumar Ray, a murder accused, in Aradapali village here and interrogated some of his relatives. James is the prime accused in sensational murder of IT employee Payal Surekha in Bangalore in 2010.

CBI officials with the help of local police searched the house of James.

Payal was found murdered at her flat at JP Nagar in Bangalore on December 17, 2010. Though police at first suspected her husband Anant Mishra to be behind the murder, they had subsequently arrested her husband’s friend James from Cuttack. Mishra, a native of Cuttack, was working as a gym instructor in Bangalore. James, who was arrested on December 21, 2010 for allegedly killing Payal on some ‘revenge’ ground, was granted bail in April, 2012.
