Asha Oriental Agro International Limited, a non-banking financial company here has been accused of duping public money worth around `10 crore in Mayurbhanj district.

The company having its head office at Jaleswar Thana Bazar in Balasore district had five branch offices in Baripada, Rairangpur, Udala, Jharpokharia and Kostha in Mayurbhanj district besides two other branches in Kendrapara and Rourkela.

The company had opened its branch office in 2010 in Baripada town. As per complaints filed against the company in Town police station, it is alleged that the company had collected deposits from investors assuring them double the amount of the principal investment in three years.  One of the investors

Anil Sahu claimed the company officials had encouraged the investors by showing them  false growth of the company and business management. A case has been registered.
