Two minor girls died after falling into a pit at Malgaon village near Bhawanipatna on Monday evening.
According to reports, two girls in the age group of four to seven years accidentally fell into the pit which was dug up to construct bricks and half filled with slush.
The girls could not come out of the pit and died. Although their parents searched for them in the night, they were unable to trace them.
On Tuesday, the locals found the bodies of the girls and informed the police.
