'Work Jointly with Government for Public Benefit'

BHUBANESWAR: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Saturday called upon the officers of Odisha Administrative Service (OAS) to work with a sense of commitment, diligence and perseverance to ensure the success of Government schemes.

 Addressing the general body meeting of the OAS Association here, Naveen said expectations of the people are increasing as the State is steadily passing through a socio-economic transformation. The Government and the Administration must stand up to the new challenges and fulfil the aspirations of our people, he said.

 Finance Minister Pradip Kumar Amat and Chief Secretary GC Pati also spoke. 

The new office-bearers of the Association elected on the occasion are, Saroj Kumar Samal (president), Udhaba Majhi (vice-president), Jyoti Ranjan Mishra (general secretary), Arun Kumar Biswal, Lopamudra Mohanty, Suranjan Pradhan, Bijoy Kumar Swain, Chinmay Acharya, Saroj Mohanty and Shantanu Mohanty (joint secretaries) and Talat Afrin (chairperson of Welfare Board).
