Results of BMC Smart City Contest Announced

The results of the contest ‘Vision Statement - My City My Dream’ organised by Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) were announced .

BHUBANESWAR: The results of the contest ‘Vision Statement - My City My Dream’ organised by Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) were announced on Saturday.

From the total entries, 47 vision statements were shortlisted for the jury round based on the selection criteria specified in the design brief of the contest under Smart City project.

The contest was organised to draft a vision statement for Bhubaneswar to make it a sustainable and inclusive city. The contest had received more than 500 vision statements through online and offline submissions.

A jury panel comprising India Representative to Bernard van Leer Foundation Dharitri Patnaik, Regional Manager of Infosys Lt. Commander Biswajit Nayak, Director of KIIT University Prof SS Ray and journalist Bibhuti Barik evaluated the entries.

Anupam Priya won the contest while Debasish Mishra was selected for the second position.

Anupam stressed on clean, safe, sustainable and green environment in the city where all communities can live in harmony and preserve their distinct identities. Debasish emphasised on cultural heritage, city transport, employment opportunities, infrastructure, scope for sports and entertainment.
