BMC to Organise Raahgiri Every Sunday

BHUBANESWAR: The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) would organise ‘Raahgiri’ on every Sunday from 6:30 am to 10 am on the stretch between Station Square and Ram Mandir square here.

The main objective of the event would be to make the city pollution free and provide a healthy life to citizens.

The event would include sessions on yoga, skating, painting, dance, health check-up and cycling on this stretch. No street vendors will be allowed on the road and vehicular traffic will be diverted during the event.

OTDC will set up a food stall and a mobile toilet will be installed by BMC. Raahgiri will be launched on a pilot basis and during the first month, BMC will assess the response of citizens on the basis of which similar events will be planned in future.
