17 Students of DAV CSpur Qualify KVPY

BHUBANESWAR: Seventeen students from Class XI and XII of DAV Public School, Chandrasekharpur have qualified for the prestigious Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) conducted by Indian Institute of Science (IIS), Bangalore under the aegis of Union Ministry of Science and Technology.

The KVPY qualifiers are Ashutosh Pradhan, Nishant Kumar, Pratik Patnaik, Subharn Sourav, Girija Prasanna Parida, Abhishek Mishra, Nipun Chandra, Sourav Sahoo, Adarsha Patnaik, Samarendra Pani, Swikruti Mohapatra, Tanya Pattnaik, Anshuman Jayan Singh, Ananya Ray, B Sarthak, Joy Kumar and Siddhartha Panda.

The students would get scholarships up to highest research in fundamental sciences after being directly admitted into premier institutes of the country.

Anubhav Satpathy of DAV Public School, Unit VIII has ranked number one in the State and 26 at the National level in KVPY. Others from the school - Ashutosh Padhy, Amlan Saswat Mishra, Amlan Sahu, Anjeneya Shankar Praharaj and Saswat Dash - have also qualified.
