If you look at the Lok Sabha website, the veritable source of information on all MPs, it clearly states that he has obtained an MA in Tamil Literature (educated at the Madras University) and also holds a PhD.
But in his affidavit while filing his nomination papers to contest the Lok Sabha election from Arakkonam constituency, he has declared that he has just done his XI standard.
In the affidavit, he says that he completed 11th standard in the year 1966-67 from Vazhudavoor High School in Villupuram district.
He does not list any other educational qualification.
So have the details in the website been entered erroneously without Jagathrakshakan’s knowledge? Of course not, for the brochure of Bharath University, which carries details about him, the founder, announces that he holds an MA and PhD degrees.
Even if he has done an MA and obtained a PhD, why did he conceal that information in the affidavit? Besides that, his date of birth in the website and also in Wikipedia is 15-08- 1950. That means he was only 58 years old when the affidavit was signed on April 23, 2009. But the age given in the affidavit is 61.
