CHENNAI: Advocate PH Arvind Pandian was appointed as the Additional Advocate-General of the Madras High Court on Friday.

Arvind Pandian is the son of former Assembly Speaker PH Pandian and younger brother of AIADMK MP PH Manoj Pandian. He will be the fourth AAG working both in the principal seat in Madras and its bench in Madurai. Arvind Pandian has 18 years of practice as a lawyer and is specialized in corporate and tax laws. He has served in many capacities and was a former director of Tamilnad Mercantile Bank Limited for four years.

He has been a legal advisor for many public and rights issues.

Arvindh Pandian was the Special Editor of A. Ramaiya’s “The Guide to the Companies Act” published by Wadhwa & Company, Nagpur, India and a co-author of the third edition of the Guide to Takeovers and mergers published by Lexis Nexis Butterworths & Wadhwa.
